Anonymous Survey: Domestic Abuse Experiences of UK Skilled Worker Visa Holders & Dependants

Join our anonymous survey to help highlight the challenges faced by Skilled Worker visa holders and their families in the UK. Your voice matters.

At Contento Social Homes, we believe that no woman, man, or child should ever have to choose between safety and stability. Yet for too many families in the UK, especially those who came here on Skilled Worker visas, this choice is forced upon them every day.

Behind closed doors, survivors of domestic abuse often carry silent pain—fear, shame, and uncertainty about where to turn for help. For migrant families under “No Recourse to Public Funds” (NRPF) rules, that silence can feel even heavier. Without access to basic housing support, many are left with nowhere safe to go.

This is why we are asking for your voice.

We have launched an anonymous, secure survey to uncover the hidden realities of domestic abuse among Skilled Worker visa holders and their dependants in the UK from 2020–2024.

By sharing your experiences—or even what you know of others—you are helping us build the evidence needed to challenge injustice and push for fair, compassionate policies.

Why this survey matters

  • Shining a light on hidden abuse: Many survivors remain invisible because their immigration status keeps them silent.
  • Building a case for change: Policymakers respond to evidence. Every response helps us fight for equal access to refuge, housing, and support.
  • Protecting the next generation: By speaking up today, you are helping build a safer tomorrow for women, men, and children who might otherwise suffer in silence.

Safe. Anonymous. Empowering.

Your safety is our priority. This survey does not collect names or personal details. Every response is anonymous, and you can exit at any time.

Take part. Share. Support.

We cannot change the story of domestic abuse without listening first. This is more than a survey—it is an act of solidarity, a step towards justice, and a promise to survivors that they are not forgotten.
