At Contento Social Homes, we prioritise the continuous development and well-being of our staff. To ensure that everyone is well-equipped and informed, we have outlined a series of essential training requirements and resources. This article serves as a guide to help you navigate these resources and stay updated with organisational policies and procedures.
1. Mandatory Training Courses: All staff members are required to complete 15 standard care courses. To facilitate this, we provide access to comprehensive online platforms:
- TLDS Learning Pool (TLDS Learning Pool): A versatile e-learning platform offering a range of courses tailored to our care services.
- Social Care TV (Social Care TV): An educational resource providing valuable insights and training modules in social care.
Remember, we have upcoming training sessions planned. Please ensure you are up to date with all the required courses.
2. Monthly Staff Meetings: We host an all-staff meeting every 3rd Wednesday of the month. These meetings are crucial for staying informed about organisational updates, sharing experiences, and voicing any concerns or suggestions.
3. Daily Procedures and Annual Leave:
- Logging Work Hours: All staff must log in at the start of their workday using the Bright HR Blip system.
- Annual Leave Requests: Please request your annual leave through Bright HR to ensure proper scheduling and coverage.
4. Support and Counselling Services: Understanding the challenges of our work, we offer counselling services through Bright HR. This is part of our Employee Assistance Programme. If you feel overwhelmed or need support, please call 08000234742. Rest assured, these calls are private and confidential.
5. Policy Review and Refresher Courses: We encourage staff to review a policy from the QCS (Quality Compliance Systems) every week. Familiarizing yourself with these policies and procedures is crucial for maintaining high standards of care and service. Some policies also serve as refresher courses, helping you stay updated with best practices.
Your professional development and well-being are paramount to us. By utilising these resources and adhering to our training and procedural guidelines, we can collectively ensure the highest quality of care and support to those we serve. Should you have any questions or need further guidance, please don’t hesitate to reach out to the Human Resources department.
