Contento Social Homes would like to acknowledge the invaluable support received from the Community Fund using funding raised by National Lottery players for good causes. The fund gives out more than £500 million to charities, community and voluntary groups each year, and we are grateful to be one of the beneficiaries of this support.
Contento Social Homes exists to improve the support for Survivors of Domestic Abuse and their Children in the United Kingdom by providing Safe-Accommodation and skills to improve their wellbeing.
Our activities include:
- Providing Safe-Refuges and skills for Survivors of Domestic Abuse and their Children in the United Kingdom.
- Providing information on the needs for Survivors of Domestic Abuse and their Children in the United Kingdom.
- Running Campaigns to improve the wellbeing of Survivors of Domestic Abuse and their Children in the UK.
- Providing support for Survivors of Domestic Abuse and their Children in the UK.
With support from the Community Fund and funds raised by National Lottery players we are able to perform these activities and we would like to give our utmost gratitude for this invaluable contribution to society.
The fund will help us to do these activities in particular:
- Interpretation services for clients in crisis – Use of Language Line to support clients with language barriers
- Trauma and Therapeutic Counselling for clients
- Clinical supervision sessions for staff and volunteers
- Translation of essential documents for clients with Language barriers
